Wig in Europe

Wig spreads to Europe from ancient Egypt. Ancient Greek and Roman people think of baldy as sinner in that they are punished by God. Some believers of the Constantinople Church are driven out by the religion, so few people use wig during this time. Wig is not popular again until 16th century. It is regarded as the ornaments for those who lose their hair or beautify their faces. Some people cut their hair and wear the wig, for the environment is extremely bad and they are easy to grow louse on their head at that time. So wig in Europe is not only regarded as the ornaments, but also has some other useful functions. Of course, the nobles like to wear wig and it propagandizes the wig, for instance, the queen of England ElizabethⅠ like to wear her wig. In 17th century, the King of France Louis XIII wear his wig to cover his scar on his forehead, and the officials under a feudal ruler also wear their wigs to flatter him.
