It seems that most of cosers are students or kids, because this is a stylish entertainment, which youths can understand it more easily. So I just wonder how your parents think of cosplay? Whether they can accept it or not? Whether they can support your hobby or not?
According to some investigation, unfortunately, there are many complaints from cosers, because their parents don’t like it, and they are not supportive!
Some parents worry that their children spend too much time and money on it, it is not good for their kids! You know, parents always want their kids do something which is worthwhile in their life, rather than do something which is a total waste of time!
Or some parents think cosplay is a bit weird or freak, so it really makes them annoying that their kids are interested in cosplay!
Well, I think these parents might just misunderstand what cosplay is?
Actually, cosplay can give people many things positive. I know, many cosers do their cosplay costumes , wig or weapon by themselves. That’s really a good job. Kids can take lessons from the job, they would be good at designing, making, or planning skill from it! Parents should be proud of how great their kids are, when they work hard to get what they want! They also should be happy for the things which are different and creative their kids do.
To attend some conventions, there are more opportunities for cosers to show themselves, improve confidence, and can make more friends, compared with being addicted to online games, cosplay is really good for their growth! The most importance is they can get fun from cosplay.
Yeah, it is hard for parents to fully understand the kind of new art, according to their age and knowing, but as long as they are open mind, they would feel cool with it!
