‘Mother Robin’ wins CNN Hero of the Year

Robin Lim, an American woman who has helped thousands of poor Indonesian women a healthy pregnency and birth, was named the 2011 CNN Hero of the Year on Sunday night.
“Every baby’s firast breath on Earth could be one of peace and love. Every birth could be safe and loving. But our world is not there yet.”
Many women in the developing world do not have access to contraception or maternal care. It is reported that three out of five women giving birth in South Asia do so without a skilled bith attendant on hand.
Eight years ago, after giving birth to my first child Grice, I felt what could have been a life-threatening complication,” she told the audience of nearly 5,000. “ it suddenenly got very  scary, very fast. If I hadnot received the expert care in the hospital bithing canter I was in, then I may have nt been so fortunate.
It was because of the death of her sister’s baby during childbith that inspire her to make a differece. At that time, she want to help the coming poor mother have the condition to be safe and treated with dignity and respect.
Today on our Earth, 982 mothers in the prime of their life will ie- and tomorrow again and yesterday. We do not know how many child will lost, children have no chance to come to the world and enjoy fun of cosplay costumes.
